The setting was at night time, my wife and i were sleeping in our bedroom. I felt the urge to get something to drink out of the fridge in our dining room by the front door. I thought to check if the front gate was locked, so i opened the front door only to find that the front gate was unlocked. I then locked the gate and closed the door, but i thought to check once again. To my surprise, the gate was still unlocked. I the made a second attempt to lock, when i notice outside, a dark figure walking briskly towards me. I gasped and tried locking the gate until the dark figure was clear, it was my mom. She said to me, "No Jude, its just me". She had this ominous look on her face but I then allowed her into the dining room where she told me that my sister will be sleeping over. I have no memory about discussing this with her, but i let it slide because maybe she and my wife spoke. My mom then continues to set up a sleeping bed with blankets for my sister and then walks out of the house. My sister then comes through a side door which i am surprised to see in the dream because it leads into the dining room. I speak to my sister for a few minutes, and then i hear my dad's voice. I proceed to walk to the bedroom because i didnt want to talk to him, and i assumed my sister would just wrap up with him and close the side door. I then get into bed next to my wife and start scrolling on my phone. Then i hear footsteps approaching our bedroom and i immediately detect that its my dad. I quickly put my phone under the blanket and pretend that im asleep. I thought that he shouldn't open the door because that means crossing a terrible boundary. I hear the door open, and he steps into the bedroom and approaches my side of the bed. I could not see his face, because he was displayed as a dad figure, but i just knew it was him. As he approaches my bedside, he stops to look over me and i think to myself that he should not open the blanket. I try to get up and confront him but i felt bound under the covers. This dream may reflect feelings of insecurity and boundary issues within the family dynamic.
