dreamed I was at a shoe store/one of those strip mall shops where some kids were getting fitted for school clothes & shoes. There was a restaurant in the same strip mall (I’ve seen this place in dreams before) and mom and I were sitting down to eat there.
I had ordered a place with rice & corn, and the waiter (who looked like Nick Justus) was serving me from a family style large plate. He was using his finger to flick pieces of corn onto my plate (6 of pentacles much?) but a bunch of small crustaceans were attached to the corn itself. They looked like bugs, and I asked about them. It was really weird. The meat inside the shells was not good, and had some sort of yellow tinge to them. He told me that one of the crustaceans was a sea roach, and that one was an oxtail. I tried clarifying whether or not it was crab, but he doubled down on the roach idea. I was grossed out and it took him an extra long, awkward time to flick the corn onto my plate. It was also spilling onto the table.
Pharrell was with me in a group of friends & was leaving. I walked him to his car and he was telling me that I was a good person, seemingly saying he would never hurt me or something.
There was a plaza that resembles Merida, and some Mexican elders were in a sort of zip line car above us. Maybe a flying vehicle. The woman sitting was throwing chanclas and other items at us, chastising for some reason.
I was with a group of friends similar to camp; one was an Indian woman named Ms. Brown. She had invited us to her house to hang out, and I posted about it online. The post failed but ended up positing 3 times, and almost immediately after, news came out about Ms. Brown being a teacher who would groom/prey on her students. Even Quinta Brunson posted about her and I quickly took my posts down.
Brown was with her family, dealing with baggage of her own. She seemed like a mirror for what I’ve been working through with my mom.
My family was also there, kae & ren & Tia and lila. kae was comparing herself to my mom & saying she wasn’t going to end up like her. They were in a car leaving to go somewhere and I was going back to the table at the plaza with my friends. It seemed like a storm was coming and I was walking thru the windy beginning. I found their table. This dream may symbolize a sense of unease or discomfort in your waking life.
