A Harrowing Journey: The Symbolism of Death and Fear in a Dream
There was something going on. People were filling on buses. I tried to beg them to let me on because they were saying something was about to happen. The bus door closed and I hung on the side of it but I got hit by a car 3 times. Then an earthquake started to happen and the road split and we fell in the cave. I was already dead from getting hit by the car but i was still conscious. There was a little boy from the bus who went into the cave and an adult and 2 other kids. I looked at the adult and then i heard something split and the little boy had been sliced in half and died. There a monster. It was really big and grey. it kind of looked like a wendigo from Until Dawn. Although i was supposed to be dead in the dream, the monster looked directly at me and its jaw dropped so low to the ground while still looking at me. Then I woke up.

This dream is a reflection of the dreamer’s subconscious fears and anxieties. The bus symbolizes the dreamer’s journey in life, and the people filling it represent the pressures and expectations of society. The dreamer’s attempts to beg for a spot on the bus show their desperation to fit in and be accepted. However, the dreamer’s efforts are futile as they are hit by a car three times, representing the obstacles and challenges they face in trying to conform. The earthquake and road splitting symbolize a major upheaval or change in the dreamer’s life, possibly related to their struggle to conform. The little boy represents the dreamer’s innocence and vulnerability, while the adult and two other children represent authority figures and societal norms. The monster, resembling a wendigo, represents the dreamer’s deepest fears and insecurities. Its direct gaze and open jaw suggest that the dreamer’s fears are consuming them. Overall, this dream reflects the dreamer’s fear of not being able to fit in and the consequences of trying too hard to conform.
