What happened in dream:
In an open warehouse-like setting with multiple people, somewhat diverse but mostly light-colored skin. We act out multiple scenarios playing different roles. Throughout the time together, I begin befriending a dark-haired man with a beard, burly, slightly overweight. I think there’s an interest beyond friendship, at least as the dream progresses it appears to be so. At one point, we sit together and a man approaches, asking the dark-haired man to rape him. At first my companion refuses, but in the end capitulates. So, right next to me he does it. I close my eyes and put my hands to my ears, yet I stay there. I can hear some muffling. When it’s done, the DH’d man rationalizes his actions, indicating the man was insistent and wondering if it were actually rape. I walk away, and our further interactions are strained. Talking with a small group (two others, if I remember correctly), I reveal I wish I had acted differently. They asked what, and I said stopping it (the violation). What’s going on right now:
It has somewhat slowed down summer. After being constantly busy, working on getting the house sold, doctor appointments for Vicki, and many other things, we’re at a lull. I worked with my father on copying letters from the doctors to a MS Word document And went outside with him and Ginger. It was relaxing and relaxed day. Checked my school email for the first time in 2 weeks, and I was pleased to discover no emails from parents or students. In addition, I’ve not heard anything from the school. I connected with Alex, the student teacher I work with next school year, but it was pretty superficial. In the back of my mind, I felt that sense of incompleteness after having ignored the students email about not being able to get AC in my class.
