Feeling Out of Place: Interpreting the Dream of Being an Alien in School
was new to my own school. as an alien. I'd constantly project stars onto the ceiling but anytime my table mate put on something on the screen she had placed on her desk I got mad. I never told her cause she did it to make me feel more at home, but it was bothersome. Later I see my friend walk in and start talking to my teacher about the Salem witch trials and how he was gonna write an essay on it. I was pretty mad cause I was writting one on the Salem witch trials and he's doing it so much better than me. I spent hours on it...I don't wanna have to do more...how unfair.

The dream of being new to your own school and feeling like an alien may symbolize feelings of insecurity and not fitting in. The projection of stars onto the ceiling could represent a desire to stand out and be noticed, but the frustration with your table mate’s actions suggests a fear of being overshadowed or not being able to fully express yourself. This could also indicate a fear of being judged or not being accepted for who you are. The mention of the Salem witch trials and your friend’s essay being better than yours may represent feelings of competition and comparison with others. This could stem from a fear of not being good enough or not measuring up to others’ standards. The hours spent on your essay and not wanting to do more may reflect a sense of exhaustion and pressure to perform. Overall, this dream may be a reflection of your insecurities and fears about fitting in and being accepted in your social or academic environment. It may be a reminder to embrace your uniqueness and not compare yourself to others, as everyone has their own strengths and talents.
