Navigating Change and Finding Freedom: A Dream of College and Work

Navigating Change and Finding Freedom: A Dream of College and Work
I was at the college and the students were looking for me to ask if I could stay. I was at Tennessee state with the students showing them the school but I noticed how much the amenities were less. I saw my friends from when I attended Tennessee stare. I felt like an outsider. But this time I accepted it. I didn’t chase them or try to get them to see me. I knew who I was. Then I was told to help with things the students needed and I realized I was at work. I decided to do the task but I left the job with no plan to come back. I quit. I saw my boss amy. I apologized but it was time to leave. I work at a college but Work seemed bigger when I quit in my dream. Like a giant mall or arena. I wanted to help the students but I couldn’t. I felt shame. It was the black students who cried for help most. I went outside it was time to leave. I felt free. I had multiple paths to go.

The dreamer’s acceptance of being an outsider may indicate a newfound sense of self-awareness and confidence. The dreamer’s job at the college may represent their current responsibilities and obligations, but the feeling of being in a larger, overwhelming space suggests a sense of being overwhelmed or out of place. The black students crying for help may represent marginalized or oppressed aspects of the dreamer’s own identity. Overall, this dream may be a reflection of the dreamer’s desire for change, growth, and finding their own path in life.
