The Intruder and the Illusion: A Dream of Betrayal and Escape
Dream journal 2/8/2024 I was with my boyfriend in my childhood home, and a man and woman and dog came to the door. The man was nice and my boyfriend started to open the door and the man tried forcing his way in. The woman burned me with a cigarette and I let them in, and the man attacked my boyfriend. I killed the woman somehow and the man stabbed my boyfriend through the left hand with a fork. I ran outside, my boyfriend slowly stumbled after me. Outside, I grabbed his right hand and we walked down the road trying to flag down a car. A passenger van stopped and we got in the very back seat and my boyfriend shot the driver in the back of the head before turning the gun on himself, and then it was revealed that was an illusion, like in a movie.

Allowing them into your home could represent a fear of confrontation or difficulty setting boundaries. The attack on your boyfriend could symbolize a sense of betrayal or feeling like someone you trust has been harmed. Your escape with your boyfriend could represent a desire to protect and support each other in the face of danger. The illusion at the end could suggest a fear of being deceived or misled. Overall, this dream may be a reflection of your fears and anxieties about trust and safety in your relationships.
