The Reoccurring Dream of Oppression and Fear

The Reoccurring Dream of Oppression and Fear
When I was 4 to 11 years old, I had a dream that I kept dreaming. There were people chained to seats including me. We appeared to be inside of a moving car. After some time, people in uniforms, wearing gas masks went into the same space as we were in and stared at us, not afraid of using violence against us when we did something stupid. After some time, the room started filling with gas and some people who were chained to their seats passed out. Some were screaming in terror. After some time, everyone passed out except for me. I began to panic. Then after some time everything went black and I woke up. It appeared to be similar to the events in Germany during ww1 and ww2. It reminded me of the former concentration camps. I never saw them and I wasn't born back then but I kept dreaming about it.

This dream may represent feelings of being trapped and controlled in your waking life. The age range of 4 to 11 suggests that these feelings may have originated in childhood and have continued to haunt you. The people chained to seats, including yourself, symbolize a lack of freedom and autonomy. The moving car could represent the journey of life and the feeling of being unable to control its direction. The people in uniforms and gas masks may represent authority figures or societal pressures that you feel are oppressive and intimidating. The gas filling the room could symbolize a suffocating and overwhelming sense of fear and powerlessness. The reference to events in Germany during WW1 and WW2 may suggest a connection to historical or ancestral trauma. This dream may be a manifestation of repressed emotions and a reminder to confront and overcome these feelings of oppression and fear in your waking life.
