The Struggle Within: A Dream of Choking and a Dark Figure
In my dream, I’m in my bedroom, lying down on the left side of my bed (even though I sleep on the right side) while lying on my right side, with someone lying in front of me with their back towards me. I’m trying to choke them to death (I think) but I’m struggling. Then, I look at where my door is closed and see a dark shadow looking figure that I can’t see the face, looking at me. The only part of the face I see is a creepy smile and hearing words telling me to “do it” or something like that. I have no idea who it is I’m choking, their face is blurry, but I think we have the same skin tone.

This dream may represent a struggle with inner demons or repressed emotions. The bedroom, a place of rest and intimacy, becomes a scene of violence and fear. The dreamer’s position on the left side of the bed, opposite from their usual sleeping position, suggests a disruption of their usual routine or mindset. The person being choked, with a blurry face and similar skin tone, could symbolize a part of the dreamer’s own self that they are trying to suppress or control. The dark figure with a creepy smile and urging words could represent the dreamer’s subconscious, pushing them to confront and deal with these hidden emotions. The closed door could symbolize a barrier or fear of facing these inner struggles. This dream may be a reminder to acknowledge and address these inner conflicts in order to find peace and balance in waking life.
