The Symbolism of Menstruation in Dreams
Dreamt I was at home and started to have sharp pain in my uterin area. Went to the bathroom and when pulled down pants had a menstrual pad full of blood and still bleeding. I called my mom in to look and asked her should I go to the hospital emergency? I am 67 years old so I said to my mom, "you know I am too old to menstruate." She just shook her head like she didn't have an answer. In waking state my mother passed away like 2 years ago. Then I woke up.

Dreaming about menstruation can have various interpretations depending on the dreamer’s personal experiences and emotions. In this dream, the dreamer is at home, a symbol of comfort and security, when she suddenly experiences sharp pain in her uterine area. This could represent emotional pain or discomfort in her waking life, possibly related to her mother’s passing. The bathroom, a private and intimate space, symbolizes the dreamer’s need for self-reflection and introspection. The menstrual pad full of blood could represent the dreamer’s feelings of being overwhelmed or burdened by her emotions. The fact that she is still bleeding despite being 67 years old could symbolize unresolved issues or emotions that she thought she had moved on from. The dreamer’s mother, who has passed away, could represent the dreamer’s inner wisdom and guidance. The dreamer’s question about going to the hospital emergency could indicate her desire for external help or support in dealing with her emotions. Overall, this dream could be a reflection of the dreamer’s need to address and process her emotions in order to find peace and closure.
