The Symbolism of Snakes in Dreams: A Reflection of Inner Fears and Anxieties
About five years ago, I went through a period where I would have dreams very often that involved snakes. Last night, I had a dream that there was a snake in my room and it was slithering on my wall. I went downstairs to tell my dad and he didn’t seem to concerned about it. I jolted awake (in real life) and I felt an intense amount of anxiety and paranoia. This was maybe the third time that I have had a dream involving a snake since the initial period of snake dreams that I went through.

The dreamer’s recurring dreams about snakes five years ago may have been a manifestation of their subconscious fears and anxieties. Snakes are often associated with danger, fear, and hidden threats, and their presence in the dreamer’s subconscious may have been a reflection of their inner turmoil and insecurities. The snake in the recent dream, slithering on the wall, may represent a specific fear or issue that the dreamer is currently facing. The dreamer’s father’s lack of concern may symbolize the dreamer’s feelings of being unsupported or misunderstood in their waking life. The dreamer’s intense anxiety and paranoia upon waking may indicate that these fears and anxieties are still present and affecting their daily life. The recurrence of snake dreams after a long period of absence may suggest that the underlying issues have not been fully resolved and may require further introspection and self-reflection. Overall, the dream may serve as a reminder for the dreamer to confront and address their inner fears and anxieties in order to find peace and resolution.
