The Symbolism of the Blue Marshland and Snake Ritual in a Rite of Passage Dream

The Symbolism of the Blue Marshland and Snake Ritual in a Rite of Passage Dream
I was going on a rite of passage, almost a ritual experience, where I had to swim through a long marhsland. The marshland was blue, & I was swimming through a long, narrow isle that had much vegetation on either side of me. The landscape was heavily blue in tone I was nervous, but not scared. At the 75% mark, I realised I was being followed/chased by a humanoid creature, who was heavily blue but also striking red, a 50/50 ratio almost. The 'banshee', which is what she seemed liked, grabbed me, so we fought, & I slammed the being & thrashed in the water with it, pounding it with my fists until I was released. I swam to the other side of the isle, and at the end of the trip, there was a great snake waiting for me. At this point, the heavens opened up, & a sort of 'snake ritual' occurred, with strikes of lightning & bright lights engulfing the snake, as it stood erect towards the heavens. It felt as though I could feel that the snake was impressed by my actions, & did not mean me harm. The snake then curled around part of the marshland, and then ate a turtle that lay in the water, swallowing it whole. Then, still in the dream, I was talking to a friend from highschool on a car ride about the experience, & he told me that there is much to learn about snakes in ancient religions, that they are beings of great wisdom & power in folklore. There was mention on Manchuria, & the conquest of Alexander The Great across Europe, & how he found a snake ritual that showed him his 'true nature' on his voyages. What could all this mean?
